Register your interest to be part of our emerging talent centre for the new season. The academy’s vision is: To be renowned as a leading football academy that has an outstanding culture of learning and helps enrich lives for the better.
We do this by:
Developing hard-working, well-rounded & empowered young people
Developing exceptional footballers for our women’s first team and the professional game
Developing a workforce of future leaders in the women’s game
Players within our ETC programme will also receive individual development plans (IDPs) to support their development.
Two emerging talent centres (ETC) will be running for the 2024/25 season, offering more young players between 8-12 years old the chance to receive high-performance coaching while still playing for their grassroots clubs.
The centres are free to attend and is part funded by The FA and the Premier League.
The Brighton & Hove Albion ETC will form the foundation phase and beginning of our women and girls' academy pathway, providing players with the platform to grow and develop.
This feeds directly into our girls' academy, a high-performance environment with players aspiring to move into our professional game academy (PGA) and women’s first team playing in the Women’s Super League (WSL)
The previous season (2023/24) saw many highlights from our Emerging Talent Centres:
12 ETC players gained a full registration into the girls’ academy
3 additional ETC players gained a season long training programme within the girls' academy
5 additional ETC players previously coming through our ETC retained for 24-25
A total of 20 of this seasons players in the girls' academy have come via the ETC pathway over the last two seasons.
ETC players received coaching from girls’ academy staff
All ETC players were given the chance to train or play at our Amex Elite Football Performance Centre at some point during the season including our in-house games at Christmas and Easter for both centres
Selected ETC players were invited to train alongside our existing academy squads to challenge them and support their development further
We play numerous matches against other ETCs experiencing away trips and home games at our elite training ground
Opportunities to attend select women’s first team games and some players given mascot and flag bearer opportunities
We are now inviting expressions of interest from parents and carers who would like their young person to take part. Training sessions will be held once a week at each venue for girls who are eligible for our Under-9s-Under-12s teams (born between September 2012 – August 2016).
