Women’s first-team head coach Dario Vidosic has said that he’s starting the new season with the belief that his team can win the WSL.
The Australian was talking on the latest edition of the Official Brighton & Hove Albion Podcast, in which he outlined how he will never deviate from his attacking approach and winning mentality.
“I'm planning on winning it [the WSL],” he said. “At the start of the season everyone starts with zero points – there's no advantage to Chelsea or City or Arsenal, those who were towards the top last year. Until it's mathematically impossible that we can't win then that'll be the aim every game, we'll go out to win.

“If we win every game that means we're champions, that's my mentality. I'll never go into a game thinking, ‘let's try get a draw today’, or ‘lets close up shop and just be hard to beat’.
“We won't sway from how we play. I said to the girls on the first day, all the badges could be coloured in black because I'm not interested in changing how we play based on our opponent.”
Having had the opportunity to assess his team during pre-season, he’s confident that they can deliver what he wants.

“I think we can beat everyone. There's no real consideration of any other team until we face them that weekend.
“I want to win the league, that'll be the aim every single season. Whether or not we achieve it, we'll see at the end. But it won't matter what sort of game, friendly game, cup game, Champions League game, WSL game, it'll always be the same mentality that we go out to win."
