This week’s loan report is a little lighter than usual with international football generally bringing domestic football to a halt.
The lower leagues in England and Scotland continued though, as Baker-Boaitey teed up Jayden Stockley for Port Vale’s opening goal with a lovely cross in their 4-1 win at Newport County. It was an excellent way to mark his full league debut.
Tom McGill kept his second clean sheet of the League Two season as MK Dons defeated Walsall 1-0, while Luca Barrington was subbed on for the final five minutes in Grimsby Town’s 2-1 defeat at Chesterfield.
North of the border, Casper Nilsson’s Partick Thistle were beaten 3-1 by Alloa Athletic in the SPFL Trophy.
That was the Swedish defender’s first full 90 minutes for Partick, although they bow out of the competition at the third-round stage.
