Alek Gross joins Albion as new women and girls head of performance and medical.
We are pleased to announce the appointment of Alek Gross as the new women’s and girls’ head of performance and medical.
Zoe Johnson the managing director of women’s and girls’ said, “After a thorough recruitment process, we are delighted to welcome Alek to the club.
“He has a wealth of experience in the football industry, and we fully believe in his capabilities to help drive us forwards.
"This is a new role within our women and girls programme and Alek’s credentials and leadership will have a big impact on all our teams.“
Technical director David Weir added, “Alek was the standout candidate for the club during this recruitment process.
“His experience and knowledge will strongly support our performance and medical department as well as our long-term vision.”
Alek joins us from Nottingham Forest where he was the club’s head of performance, having previously spent a decade at Southampton. He first joined Saints in June 2013 as lead academy strength and conditioning coach before being promoted to head of sports science and first team fitness coach in January 2014.
