Two for Kiko as Albion win second friendly
Japanese striker impresses as women end training camp with friendly win over Granada.

Our women’s first team rounded off a successful pre-season training camp in Spain with a 3-2 victory over Granada in their second friendly match.

A first-half double from Kiko Seike and a goal from Pauline Bremer were enough to seal victory against the Spanish League side in hot conditions.
Fran Kirby and Seike linked up early and the Japanese forward striking the back of the net. Shortly before the break Seike met a curling cross from Poppy Pattinson with a far-post header to make it 2-0.

Granada captain Lauri Requena made it 2-1 but Bremer restored Albion’s two-goal advantage with a well-taken goal before Blijana Bradic’s late consolation for Granada.
Head coach Dario Vidosic reflected on another good 90 minutes and a successful week’s work on the training pitch.

He said, “It was a tough game. We faced a different question than what we've been asked in the last few games. So it was a great challenge, and one will learn a lot from it.
“We're welcoming some players back, but we were still unfortunate to have some players under minute restrictions. It's just juggling a couple of positions around and people are playing out of position, but I think they're starting to really understand and apply what we've been learning.

“We’ve still got three weeks before the first WSL game and it was good to give everyone minutes. The conditions were very hard and kicking off in the middle of the day made it that little bit tougher.
“But overall the camp has been really good. The girls have applied themselves excellently and have given everything so I can't fault them.
“They're taking in a lot of new information and they're doing their best to apply it. It's looking good, but we understand it's going to take time. However, I'm very happy with the progress we’re making.”
