Dario Vidosic admitted Albion were far from their best but he was nonetheless pleased to see his side secure a narrow 1-0 away win over Crystal Palace in the WSL on Sunday.
Bruna Vilamala’s first goal for the club on 35 minutes proved decisive and Albion had opportunities late on to make the game safe while Sophie Baggaley’s stoppage-time save to deny Annabel Blanchard ensured a first clean sheet in the league since March as Albion stayed third in the table.

“I’m happy with the win but we had to grind it out,” admitted Vidosic. “We were probably our own worst enemies for a lot of that game with so many simple mistakes. We had to be a bit more patient in possession.
“They played with five at the back and that low block is hard to break down but we made a lot of wrong decisions and on the transition they were always dangerous, although we were pretty solid defensively, and I thought we could have had a penalty in the second half when Vicky Losada was brought down.
"So we have a lot to learn, but it's also probably hard for me to think that we're going to play 22 perfect games this season in the WSL.
"It's important that when we do have a day off that we still find a way to win. That’s three wins out of four and we’re now looking forward to a really big game at the Amex next Saturday against Manchester United.”
