Killian Cahill wants to help the under-21s by using his first-team experience when we take on Wimbledon in the EFL Trophy on Tuesday.
As our men’s first-team’s third goalkeeper this campaign, the Irishman has been training every day with Bart Verbruggen and Jason Steele.
“It's been brilliant for me so far,” Killian said. “I learn so much every day from (goalkeeping coaches) Jack [Stern], Marco [Knoop] and obviously Bart and Steeley. I try to take as much as I can from them.

“I feel like I've progressed since pre-season and it's been a brilliant opportunity. It's something that can help me develop.”
The under-21s need to win to have any chance of qualifying for the knockout stages, but the goalkeeper says it’s important he and his teammates to focus on what the game itself.
“These games are ones that we really look forward to. For myself, it's a chance to try and show how good I am. As a team, we know what we need to do. We know we need a result elsewhere, but we just need to look after ourselves on the night and make sure we win.”

The 20-year-old was named in a Premier League matchday squad for the first time when we drew 2-2 with Wolves on Saturday after Lewis Dunk’s late withdrawal.
“It’s definitely a landmark for me and it was pretty cool. Like a lot of things in football, it happened very quickly. I was warming up as normal and then I came in and found out there had been a forced change.
“You get that little buzz, it's just a shame we couldn't win. Now I want to make sure that at some point my name is on the teamsheet because I am playing.”
