Ibrahim Osman will be aiming to help Feyenoord reach the last 16 of the Champions League on Tuesday night.

The Ghana international came on for the final throws of their first leg 1-0 win over AC Milan, and now faces the task of maintaining their lead in their second leg at the San Siro.

Qualification for the next round of Europe’s elite competition looks a tough ask for Stade Brest and Abdallah Sima. A 3-0 defeat to PSG in their first leg means the odds are stacked against our Senegalese striker.

It was a busy weekend for the rest of our players out on loan.

In the Premier League, Facundo Buonanotte came on for the final five minutes of Leicester’s 2-0 defeat at home to Arsenal, as Julio Enciso went off injured in Ipswich Town’s 1-1 draw at Aston Villa. Meanwhile, Evan Ferguson came on for second half of West Ham’s 1-0 home defeat to Brentford.

In the Championship, Sheffield Wednesday and James Beadle had a disappointing Saturday as they suffered a narrow defeat to fellow play-off chasers Coventry. The possibility of a top-six finish for the Owls is remarkable considering they found themselves in 22nd after seven league games and are now up to eighth.

In contrast, Mark O'Mahony scored for Portsmouth in their 2-0 win at Oxford, having missed the previous 11 matches through injury.

Andrew Moran’s Stoke City made it two wins from three with a 3-1 win over Swansea City. At Deepdale, Jeremy Sarmiento was an unused substitute for Burnley in their goalless draw with Preston North End.

Amario Cozier-Duberry played 60 minutes in Blackburn’s 2-0 win over relegation-threatened Plymouth Argyle, with Rovers continuing their impressive push for play-offs.

In League One, Kamari Doyle started for Crawley in their 1-1 draw with second-placed Wycombe having netted his first goal for the club last Tuesday in their 3-1 win over Stevenage. Samy Chouchane was an unused substitute for Northampton in their 2-0 home defeat to Wrexham.

Odel Offiah played 55 minutes in an entertaining 3-3 draw with Mansfield Town, in which Caylan Vickers set up the Stags’s first goal of the eventful afternoon, before being replaced for the final five minutes.

In the fourth tier, Luca Barrington came on for the final 15 minutes of Grimsby’s 2-1 win at Doncaster Rovers with both teams in the play-off hunt.

Ben Jackson was an unused substitute for Queens Park in their 2-1 league defeat to Hamilton Academical in the Scottish Championship.

While maintaining their place at the top of the Austrian Bundesliga, Sturm Graz suffered a shock 3-0 defeat at Wolfsberger, with Kjell Scherpen and Malick Yalcouye playing the full 90 minutes.

Valentin Barco set up a goal in Strasbourg’s 2-0 win at Lens, while in Germany Stefanos Tzimas play 90 minutes in Nuremburg’s 2-0 win over SSV Ulm. Nuremburg have now won five of their last six 2. Bundesliga matches.
