The Fan Advisory Board is comprised of 12 members with diverse backgrounds and experience. As committed fans ourselves, we are actively engaged in representing the interests of the club’s entire fan base, helping to ensure that the matchday experience at men’s and women’s matches is as enjoyable as possible, whilst also working to promote the club’s position in the wider community. We welcome contact from all supporters, either individually or with organised supporters’ groups.
The FAB has an open and transparent dialogue with the club’s fan base and we have formal meetings three times a year, which are attended by different club representatives. We also have a number of working groups operating at present which are led by different FAB members, depending on their specific areas of interest and experience.
1. Community & Sustainability
We are working on the club’s presence in the city, considering legacy, heritage and identity stemming from fan presence and influence.
2. Equality, Diversity & Inclusion
We are working with the club on specific EDI plans, ensuring that fans feel comfortable that we are a fully diverse and inclusive club, which treats all supporters equally. We are looking at specific campaigns which will promote diversity and inclusion.
3. Women’s Working Party
This working group is committed to working with the club and the fan base and Crawley Town FC to improve the match day experience for fans attending WSL home games. We are constantly looking at the development of the women’s game and how we can promote increased support, both at home and away matches. We are also promoting interaction with other WSL fan bases.
4. Fan engagement
We are engaging with both UK based and overseas supporters’ groups to gain a full understanding of key areas of interest for Albion fans, which will support the continuous improvement in the club which we have seen over many years. In addition, we have raised our profile with the Football Supporters Association, and we are also increasing on involvement on podcasts which will increase awareness of the FAB and the role we play.
5. Matchday atmosphere
We are aiming to create a connection between fans which ensures that all supporters feel part of the event, experiencing emotions they simply cannot enjoy when watching the game on TV. Specific activities centre around songbooks, vocal cheerleaders and the use of flags. We have recently consulted with the club regarding the relocation of away supporters which we believe will enhance the matchday atmosphere.
You can meet FAB members in person at men’s home game (afternoon kick-offs). We can be found at the former away ticket booth (South Ticket Office) near the East Stand outer concourse. Come and find us if you would like to raise any matter with the FAB.
