Her connection to the Seagulls stretches back generations. A lifelong supporter, she comes from a family with deep roots in both the club and the city. Carina’s cousin, Tony Bloom, is the club’s current Chairman and their grandfather, Harry, was vice-chairman back in the 1970s. Her father Ray Bloom—also Chairman of IMEX—is Honorary Life President, after serving for more than 40 years as a director on the club's main board.

Carina's impact has been recognised both locally and internationally. She was named Businesswoman of the Year at the 2025 Dynamic Awards for South East England and was inducted into the Events Industry Council Hall of Leaders in 2023, in honour of her outstanding contribution to the global events industry.
