Worthing won the Sussex Senior Cup for the first time since 1999 after a penalty shoot-out win over Bognor Regis Town at the Amex.
The Rebels, who are managed by former Albion player Adam Hinshelwood, had lost the National League South play-off final on Sunday to Oxford City, but they made sure their season ended with some silverware, winning the penalties 8-7 after a goalless draw.
Ollie Pierce had seen the first penalty in the shoot-out saved by Bognor keeper Matt Rowley and after eight penalties in a row were converted Josh McCormack had the opportunity to win it for Bognor but skied his effort over the bar.
The next seven penalties were all scored before Worthing’s 17-year-old goalkeeper saved Bognor skipper Harvey Whyte’s effort.
Worthing lost the final to Albion's under-21s last season when Hinshelwood's son Jack was in the Albion line-up.
Adam said, "It was probably written in the stars that a 17-year-old on his debut playing in a final in a magnificent stadium should save the winning penalty, it was a great moment for him and nice for the club after the disappointment on Sunday in the play-off."
