The club can confirm that young defender Jorja Fox has sustained an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) rupture and has returned to her parent club Chelsea, where she will start rehab with Chelsea’s medical team and continue her recovery.
The 19-year-old made her WSL debut for Chelsea in the 2020/21 campaign before joining Albion on a season-long loan last summer.
Jorja made 23 appearances for the club and scored two goals.
Head coach Melissa Phillips said, “We were all disappointed to hear the extent of Jorja’s injury. She has been a brilliant member of the squad this season and contributed so much on and off the pitch.
“Everyone at the club wishes her all the best for her rehab and we hope she makes a full recovery and is back playing again soon.”
