Ayari
You almost have to laugh at this.
Barnsley must be wondering what we do in training, as we've scored some unbelievable goals this evening, as Yasin Ayari adds another screamer.
He gets down the side of the box and then unleashes a piledriver into the top corner.
Another six goals in the cup.

Howell
Well this is the cherry on top of a very, very nice cake.
Tommy Watson flicks the ball into the path of Harry Howell on the edge of the box and the Albion academy player curls it into the bottom left corner.
What a night in Yorkshire this has proved to be.

AYARI'S ROCKET PALMED AWAY
A subtle reminder to Yasin Ayari that nobody will outdo Diego Gomez this evening.
The Swede lets fly with a well hit strike from 25 yards, he's a bit unfortunate as it curls away from the top corner and towards the outstretched gloves of Cooper to palm away.
Diego GOAL-mez.

Substitution
Harry Howell has replaced Diego Gomez. Thank you for that performance, Diego, that was outrageous.

LAST PERSON TO SCORE FOUR IN A GAME?
Apparently the last Albion player to score four in a single game was Glenn Murray against Wycombe in December 2009.
For those who can't quite remember, it ended in a 5-2 win over the Chairboys at Adams Park, with Nicky Forster getting the other one for Albion.

DIEGO GOMEZ GETS A FOURTH???!!!!!!
Welbeck plays the ball around the corner for Gomez to run onto and the midfielder finds the bottom right corner.
It's quite difficult to say anything other than this is a hell of an achievement for the Paraguayan.
Who was the last person to score four in a single game for Albion? Give us a moment and we shall find out.

WATSON FIRES OVER
Watson plays a nice one-two with Welbeck on the left as the youngster darts into the box. He looks to lash it in from 15 yards, but gets under his strike and sends it well over.

OFF THE LINE BY SHEPHERD
Stef Tzimas is desperate to get in on the goalscoring action.
The Greek forward finds himself next to the by-line with the keeper out of his goal. He looks to curl it over the Barnsley stopper and does so, but he can't beat Shepherd who heads it away on the line.
53'
Substitution
Carlos Baleba's final action before being substituted is a sumptuous piece of play that should result in a goal.
He plays a one-two with Tzimas on the edge of the box before sitting down a defender, but his effort from an angle is tipped away by Cooper.
He's replaced by Yasin Ayari.

IT GETS BETTER AND BETTER AND BETTER!!!
Well Diego Gomez has his hat-trick, and he's completed it with the most unbelievable strike.
The midfielder latches onto a half cleared ball and hits it on the half volley from 30+ yards, and it curls spectacularly into the top right corner. It's out of this world. It's Diego Gomez's night, no question.
Diego Gomez celebrates his second of the night.
Diego nearly burst the ball when he leathered in his second of the night.

PICK THAT OUT!!!
My word, what a sweet strike from Diego Gomez!
Welbeck leaves Watson's pass for Gomez running onto it on the edge of the box and he absolutely thunders it into the top left corner with a first time strike. Unstoppable.
Three goals in two Carabao Cup games for Diego this season. He loves this competition.

GOMEZ HEADS WIDE
Another Tommy Watson cross is met my Gomez again, but the Paraguayan is stretching to reach it and sends the ball comfortably wide of goal from about eight yards.

ALBION TAKE THE LEAD!
Literally 20 seconds earlier there had been chants of 'Premier League, you're having a laugh' from the home crowd, but that song has come to an abrupt stop.
Tom Watson's cross from the left finds Diego Gomez sliding in, with the Paraguayan poking home!

BIG SAVE FROM COOPER
Diego Gomez plays Stefanos Tzimas in on goal with a terrific pass. The Greek striker races through, but in steadying himself lets the centre back get back in and give him a nudge, before Cooper dives on the ball! Given Stef's goalscoring exploits as a sub against Oxford in the last round, you were expecting to see the net bulge there.

Stefanos Tzimas gets the game started.
TRIBUTE PAID TO DICKIE BIRD
Both teams and supporters stop for a period of applause for the late Dickie Bird, who umpired 66 international test matches and was a Barnsley fan.
THE TEAMS MAKE THEIR WAY OUT
Albion are led out by James Milner.
Albion arrive at Oakwell.
The Barnsley team.
The Albion team.
While Albion won their second round match against Oxford United 6-0, the clean sheet was preserved thanks to some outrageously good Jason Steele saves.
The Tykes reached this stage of the competition thanks to a 2-1 win over Rotherham, having beaten Fleetwood Town in the previous round.
HOURIHANE
Barnsley boss Conor Hourihane has spoken ahead of Tuesday night's game at Oakwell.
On facing Albion, "It's a really exciting game for myself, the squad and the club. It's a game that we're really looking forward to, testing ourselves against a really exciting squad who can play at a really high level, it's one we're really looking forward to the challenge of."
On what Albion team line-up he is expecting, "Analysing the game against Oxford, the transfer window was still open then so a few of the players that were playing in that game are now gone, so it will be a slightly different side to the team that won."
On what he learned from the Oxford game, "It was a convincing win, but watching the game start to finish, Oxford had a lot of chances in the game. It's something we've been looking at and hopefully it's something we can do come Tuesday night."
HURZELER LOOKS AHEAD TO BARNSLEY
Fabian Hurzeler knows Albion have a tough task on their hands if they want to make it through to the next round of the Carabao Cup.
Standing in Albion's way is League One Barnsley.
"They play good football, they have good players, so we have to be prepared," the Albion head coach said. "We want to go to the next round but we will need the performance to be on the highest level.
"It's a do or die game. It's a 50-50 game. We have to really take it seriously because Barnsley have played a really good season so far."
