Triple change for Albion. Carlos Baleba, Brajan Gruda and Joel Veltman replace Yankuba Minteh, Maxim De Cuyper and Diego Gomez.

Jan Paul van Hecke slides in to block a Hudson-Odoi cross-shot behind for a corner. This looks as if it's going to be kitchen sink time from the hosts. Fabian Hurzeler is going make some changes to inject some energy.

The lively Hutchinson races past Kadioglu and finds Gibbs-White in the middle who looks certain to equalise, but his effort is kept out by the outstretched leg of Verbruggen!

That's an absolutely glorious chance to extend our lead. De Cuyper crosses in from the left, the ball hits Gomez in the middle and forces a great save out of Sels, but Tzimas is there for what looks a certain goal. He opts to take a touch and a Forest defender makes the tackle and gets it away!

A Forest corner falls for Gibbs-White to hit and he sends it towards goal, but Sangare sticks out a leg, blocking the shot and sending it behind for a goal-kick. Gibbs-White can't believe it.

Georginio is replaced by Jack Hinshelwood.

Georginio gets his head in the way of a cross coming into the box, but he needs treatment. Looks as if he will be replaced by Jack Hinshelwood.

Georginio gets past Hudson-Odoi and wrestles off Williams before finding Wieffer on the edge of the box. He plays it first time into the path of Ayari who strikes it first time, but he gets his angles wrong and sends it well wide of the bottom left corner.

Yasin Ayari takes kick-off. Albion currently sit fourth in a tightly congested Premier League table. Let's hope it remains that way come full time.

Albion go in at half-time with the lead, thanks to Maxim De Cuyper cool finish.

Mats Wieffer goes into the book for giving Williams a push as he tried to break down the left. The Welshman looked as if he was going to ground before the contact was made.

Gibbs-White beats the offside and gets in down the right of the box. He tries to pick out the run of Jesus, but overcooks the pass and it's behind for a goal-kick. The pendulum has swung in Forest's favour.

Space opens up for Minteh to have a go from 25 yards. He gets plenty of zip behind the strike, but it's straight at Sels who punches it away.

Dominguez intercepts Wieffer's pass and is in down the left. He crosses in for Gibbs-White in the middle and his scissor-kick sees the ball fly an inch wide of the bottom right corner.

De Cuyper's corner is incredibly deep into the six-yard box, Sels can't get there and Gomez heads it back across, but a Forest boot launches it away from goal!

Forest's first corner of the affair is headed by Dunk. Dominguez hits it on the volley from 20 yards, but it bounces harmlessly into the arms of Verbruggen.

Forest's first chance falls the way of their skipper Morgan Gibbs-White. He hits it first time on the edge of the box, but put it into the second tier of the stand behind the goal.

This is getting a bit silly now. Albion are cutting through Forest with ease, but cannot find the back of the net. Minteh again finds Wieffer in the box and his low strike gets the better of Sels, but it's wide of the bottom left corner.

Another chance for Albion. Minteh glides past Williams to the by-line and pulls it back. Wieffer hits it, but it's blocked and then bounces off the Dutchman and behind for a goal-kick.

Albion are pushing Forest to breaking point here. De Cuyper's corner is only cleared as far as Georginio who hits it from 12 yards, but it's cleared on the line. Welbeck has a shot blocked before Ayari meets it on the volley on the edge of the area and sends it marginally over the crossbar. This is one of Albion's best starts under Fabian Hurzeler.

Lewis Dunk finds Ferdi Kadioglu running own the left, and he nods the pass down for the oncoming Max De Cuyper. His cross dances across the turf towards the back stick for Georginio who sends it wide of the target. It's a difficult one for the Frenchman, as he's stretching to get there and it's on his weaker foot.

Georginio plays the ball out to De Cuyper on the left and he whips in a delightful ball that Diego Gomez stretches to meet, but he can't quite reach it and the chance goes begging! Excellent start from the visitors.

That's a terrific ball over the top from Diego Gomez and Yankuba Minteh is in. He takes the ball down on his knee but can't quite get it under his spell, which allows Sels time to dive in and get a touch on the ball to take it away from the winger!

Last season's visit to the City Ground proved to be our worst outing of the campaign, as we were beaten 7-0. It would to be a springboard for Albion who would then win four consecutive Premier League games. "Every game you can take something away. Of course, it was a terrible defeat. Not only for me, but I also think in general for the club, for the team, for the supporters. "After that you re-analyse, you reflect, you try to create the right solutions. This game helped regarding our development. "After the game, we burned something [our pre-match work on Forest], everyone knows it. When you create a fire, there's still dirty things in the air, it's about cleaning up the air."

Speaking ahead of today's game, the Forest manager was pleased to welcome back Callum Hudson-Odoi to action during Thursday night's win over Malmo. He is set to be without Ola Aina, Chris Wood, Douglas Luiz and Oleksandr Zinchenko this afternoon, while Morgan Gibbs-White is expected to return. “There won’t be too many back for Brighton, but they’re making strong progress on the training ground with their physical schedule. “They’ll be crossing over to the normal training side of things soon. We got Callum through the Malmö game, which was pleasing. “We’re slowly but surely getting players back fit, which will be important moving forward.”
