Jaouen Hadjam joined Albion from Swiss champions BSC Young Boys in August 2026, signing a five-year deal until June 2031.

He came through the youth ranks at Paris FC, making his professional debut in Ligue 2 in 2020 before earning a move to Ligue 1 side FC Nantes in January 2023.

A successful spell in Switzerland with Young Boys would follow from January 2024, where he won the Swiss Super League title and featured regularly in both the UEFA Champions League and Europa League, before securing his move to the Amex Stadium.

Jaouen’s domestic performances paved the way for his senior international debut for Algeria in March 2023, later representing his country at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

He had previously represented France at Under-19 level.
