Our women’s under-19s were beaten 2-0 by Arsenal in the PGA Cup at the American Express Elite Football Performance Centre on Wednesday.
Head coach Dani Bowman said, "The post-match talk with the girls was very positive. Nobody wants to lose games and we're disappointed with the result, but in terms of our application and attitude I thought the girls were fantastic.
"We could have been better in our attacking moments. If you look at the game overall it was a case of how clinical they were in the attacking areas.
"We didn't have much preparation time going but we gave the best account of themselves. It was a pleasing performance, but we know the level we need to get to."

The Albion youngsters lost to the Gunners earlier in the season in the league and Bowman said they kept themselves in contention much better on this occasion.
"The first time it felt like an uphill battle at times. Whereas in this game, we kept ourselves in it all the way up until they got the second goal," added Bowman.
"Both goals were preventable, it's just the fine margins that Arsenal capitalised on. If you give that calibre of player two or three yards they will make something from it."

Albion will now compete for silverware in the PGA Plate.
"There are a few games in between, some league and a couple of friendlies we've got booked in before the Plate," added Bowman. "We've got a lot of opportunity to work on the bits that we need to tidy up."
