Our women’s under-19s were beaten 4-1 by Charlton Athletic at the American Express Elite Football Performance Centre on Wednesday.
Assistant head coach Tim Tapscott said, "It was a tough game. I think Charlton came in with a game plan of putting a lot of pressure on us.
"I felt we dealt with it really well for the first 20 minutes, we had moments that were really good and what we've worked on in training came out. I think once the pressure went up, that's when our girls really struggled. In the second half we came away from our philosophy a bit.
"We'll reflect on this game, Dani [Bowman] and I will ask them to watch the game back. They know that today wasn't good enough, but again, it comes down to training and going back to our brilliant basics of being able to play under pressure.
"We'll reflect and we'll stay positive and keep moving. We've got another game coming up very shortly and we can look to correct things in that game."
The Albion youngsters have sealed a win and a loss in their last two league matches following a 4-0 defeat to Arsenal and a 3-1 win against Tottenham Hotspur.
The newly appointed assistant head coach reflected on his first few games working alongside Dani Bowman and the under-19s.
"For me, it's just being in this environment full time now and seeing what it looks like day to day. That goes from being on the pitch to analysis, education, and the gym.
"It's good for me to be building relationships and lsee how the players learn best and develop."
