  • Albion have lost four of their five away games against Chelsea in the Women's Super League with the exception of a 2-1 win at Kingsmeadow in February 2021.
  • Chelsea have won their opening eight games of a WSL campaign for the first time ever and could now equal the longest-ever winning start to a Women's Super League season (Arsenal in 2018-19 - first 9).
  • Albion have won five of their eight WSL games this season (D1 L2), already the same number of victories as they managed across the whole of last season in the top-flight (D4 L13).
  • Chelsea have won each of their last 11 WSL games, keeping a clean sheet in nine of them; overall in 2024 they have won 18 games, with only the Blues themselves in 2022 (20) and 2021 (19) recording more victories in the competition in a single calendar year.
  • Chelsea (537 minutes) have led for more minutes than any other team in the WSL this season with Albion (320 minutes) ranking fourth in that regard; the Blues (8/8) and the Seagulls (5/5) also have the best and second-best respective 100%-win records in games they have led in so far this term.
  • Chelsea are comfortably the leading scorers in the WSL this season with 26 goals, 10 ahead of ManchesterCity in second; the Blues are converting 18.8% of their shots this term with only Arsenal in 2018-19 (19.0%) recording a better conversion rate in a single Women's Super League campaign.

  • With a goal and an assist last time out for Brighton against Westham, Fran Kirby (101 - 66 goals, 35 assists) became the fourth player to register 100+ goal involvements in the WSL alongside Vivienne Miedema (116), Beth Mead (111) and Bethany England (100).
