Kiko Seike has won The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Women’s Player of the Year 2023.
Kiko said, “I am very happy to receive this prestigious award. I will continue to do my best for my club, the national team and to raise the value of Asian football.”
Prior to her move to Albion, the 28-year-old was a key component in Urawa Reds winning their second consecutive league title, as she scored 20 goals in 22 games.
Her form was rewarded with the Most Valuable Player and Top Scorer awards.
The forward made more than 300 appearances for Urawa before joining us in summer 2024.
She made an immediate impact in an Albion shirt as she became the first player in WSL history to score a hat-trick on her debut in our 4-0 win over Everton.
Her fine start to life with Albion saw her win the WSL Player of the Month award for September.
