Perry Northeast has been appointed as our new women’s and girls’ academy manager.
Perry replaces Jeremy Sauer, who has left the club.
Girls’ managing director Zoe Johnson said, “We’d like to thank Jeremy for his contribution to the girls’ academy.
“He has helped us continue to develop our academy programme and had a significant impact over the last year.
“We wish him well and we're now excited to continue working with Perry, who will keep working closely with Dario and the first team staff.
“He’ll lead our academy programme and the transition of our young players within the pathway to first-team football.”
Women’s first team head coach Dario Vidosic said, “We’re really excited to be working with Perry. He was excellent in his previous position with the first team and will play a key role helping develop our future players.”
Perry was women’s and girls’ technical director before working as a first-team coach last season.
He said, “I’m really looking forward to developing our girls’ academy at Brighton. “Jeremy did a fantastic job over the last year to strengthen the foundations already in place in our youth set-up.
“The development of young players is one of our key priorities at the club. I’m looking forward to working closely with Dario to continue the progression of our academy players and helping them achieve opportunities within the women’s first team.”
