Marit Auee joined Albion from FC Twente.

We caught up with our latest signing Marit Auee who joined Albion from Eredivisie side FC Twente.

Marit, how much are you looking forward to getting started at the club?

“I’m very excited to join the club. The plans for the team and the environment are amazing - I’m excited to get started."

How do you feel about competing in, arguably, the best women’s league in the world?

“To play in the Women’s Super League is a dream and to do that is a big achievement for myself. The environment, the facilities, the values, and the people at this club, is something that you dream of experiencing."

How do you feel you will compete in the WSL’s demanding environment?

“For me, I love to be in an environment that’s challenging so that I can improve my own game. I’m eager to get started, it’s the best league in the world full of incredible players. I want to be challenged by those individuals."

You’ve already won league titles in the Eredivisie. Do you think you can help add that winning mentality to this team?

“My experience playing in cup finals and ‘must-win’ games only makes you better, but so are the ones where you lose. They all make you a better player. There are a lot of players here who have already achieved so much in their careers, so to learn from them is also massive for me personally."

How much are you looking forward to living in Brighton?

“I’m happy to be in a place that is nice to live in, it’s a lovely environment that's full of nice people around me – I’m excited to start a new life here in England.”
