Vicky Losada said Albion ‘shouldn’t get too emotional’ after their disappointing 5-0 defeat against Arsenal on Friday.
Goals from Beth Mead, Caitlin Foord, Frida Maanum, Lina Hurtig and Alessia Russo saw Dario Vidosic’s side well beaten at Emirates Stadium, but it was only their second defeat of the season.
They are still third in the league table as things stand and Losada doesn’t want her teammates to forget the good work which has got them to this point.

The Albion captain said, “It was a very difficult night, especially when we found ourselves 3-0 down inside 30 minutes, but we shouldn’t get too emotional after this result.
“Arsenal are a Champions League team and showed that today. They attack so well and we need to respond to bad moments better, but if we learn from this we will be fine.
“We can’t forget everything we have done until today. We have been performing well this season. The Brighton you saw today wasn’t us and we will learn.
“We have a big game at the Amex next weekend in front of our fans so we need to keep going.”
Losada started in the heart of Albion’s midfield and the Spaniard thought it was in that area of the pitch where Arsenal exploited the Seagulls.

The 33-year-old said, “We needed to protect the central areas better. They are very good in the pockets and we didn’t press how we wanted to.
“They came out with a lot of energy in front of their crowd and created a lot of chances. We need to be more compact and we will be in future.
“We will learn from this night and we will keep working hard to bounce back next weekend in front of our fans.”
