Fran Kirby can’t wait to return to the Amex on Saturday, as our women’s first team take on Manchester United.
The England international was a key part of the team that won the European Championships in 2022, with the Amex hosting the Lionesses’ 8-0 win over Norway in the group stage and the 2-1 round of 16 win over Spain.
“I’ve got really good memories of the Amex,” Kirby reflected. “The stadium is beautiful, the pitch is incredible.

“There's going to be, hopefully, as many fans as possible in the ground on Saturday. I've got some good memories of being on that pitch during the Euros tournament. I'm really excited to play there again.
“For us to be able to play at a big stadium like that is what we all dream of. We're all excited, hopefully we can have another good result there.”
Manchester United’s main attacking threat is well known to Albion. Elisabeth Terland joined the Red Devils in the summer after two years with Albion, during which she became our top goalscorer in the WSL with 20 goals in 39 appearances. She has scored two goals in three WSL appearances for Marc Skinner's team.

“She's a quality player and someone that sniffs out goals – she gets herself in the right places to score,” Fran continued. “She works really hard for the team, so we have to be ready for her.
“When you think that you've got a moment on the ball, she's going to be there snapping at your heels. So we're definitely going to have to keep an eye on her. But it's not just her in that team. They have so many quality players that we have to be aware of.
“Any of them on their day can make something happen. So we have to be ready for everything that's going to come our way.”
