Dario Vidosic felt it was always an uphill battle for Albion after they conceded two early goals against in-form Manchester United in the Barclays Women’s Super League on Sunday night.
United led 2-0 after 11 minutes and went on to inflict a third defeat in nine days as Albion went down 3-0.
The head coach said, “It was a very poor start, and we could probably do better on all three goals.
“In parts we were okay but not for long enough. We needed to keep the ball better because if it turns into a transition game then it plays into their hands with their strength, power and the number of players they commit forward.

“We hold ourselves to a higher standard and we need to do a lot better with the ball, and even without it at times we lost our structure and were reluctant to apply pressure. It turned into a yo-yo game and that didn’t suit us.
“I thought we responded well in the second half but our final action to put the ball in the back of the net was missing. We need to improve a lot and we need to do it very quickly.
“We’ve had three very tough opponents in the last week when we probably weren’t favourites in any of the games but we can’t get too down on ourselves. We are bringing back more players and hopefully we'll have a full compliment soon so we can get our confidence and rhythm back.”
