Our men’s under-18s were beaten 3-0 by West Brom in Premier League South on Saturday.
Three first-half goals from Noah Dupont, Fran Cherchi and Divine Onyemachi ensured the hosts took all three points.
“It’s a tough result to take with the amount of possession we had,” professional development phase coach Arthur Brammer said. “It was a dominant performance, but we just weren't good enough in either box.
“We didn't make our penalty area entries count. They had four shots in the first half and they scored from three. We need to show better collective actions in both penalty areas going forwards.
“We had a debut for another under-16 - goalkeeper Liam Doyle - which was a positive and then more minutes for the other boys who made their debuts last week.
“There’s lots to work on with what is a young side. We'll keep building and looking forward to the week ahead to put in some good work.”
The under-18s are next in action on Saturday 22 February when they head to Arsenal.
