Our men’s under-18s came from two goals down to draw 3-3 with Crystal Palace in their final league match of the season.
Palace raced into a two-goal lead in the opening 14 minutes thanks to strikes from Tyler Whyte and Charlie Walker-Smith, but two goals in two second half minutes saw Albion pull level.
Tyler Silsby’s piledriver found the top left corner with 74 minutes played, before Miles Obodo pulled the ball across the face of goal for Younes Ibrahim to tap in.
The comeback was complete in the 79th minute when Silsby ventured on an unbelievable run from the halfway line, dancing his way into the Palace box before rolling the ball into the bottom right corner.
The hosts would find an equaliser in the penultimate minute of normal time thanks to Jacob Fasida's stunning strike.
Under-18s head coach Arthur Brammer said, “It was a really exciting end to the season. The team showed excellent character to get back into the game from 2-0 down and it was only a wonder strike that stopped us taking all three points.”
