Joe Belmont scored a stunning goal as our men’s under-18s drew 1-1 with Norwich City in Premier League South on Saturday.
Opening the scoring just after the half hour mark, the striker hammered a wonderful effort into the top right corner from 25-yards.
The Canaries replied shortly after though, as Albion failed to clear a Norwich free-kick into the box and Lloyd Ofori-Manteaw was there to poke home from close range.
The draw made it seven unbeaten in Premier League South for the under-18s, who sit second in the division with 13 points - three behind leaders Aston Villa.
Under-18s head coach Inigo Calderon said, “It was not our best game. It was a good game, but we know that we can be very good and if we do very that, we win. Simple as that.
"If we play well, then it could be a draw or could be a win and I think we did enough things well, even without being really good. We did enough things to win the game, but we have to learn from it.
"We had a really strong week and for me that's maybe the most important thing because we train more than we play. So I was quite pleased with the week and the fact that we know what we didn't do right in the game.
"So that gives us the confidence that we are still in control of everything because we know that if we do things better, we win."
