Our men’s under-18s secured a superb 3-2 win over Arsenal in Premier League South on Saturday.
Jacob Parsons scored his third goal in as many league games to open the scoring. His initial effort was kept out by Jack Porter, but the striker snatched possession back from a defender and found the bottom-left corner from close range.
Albion looked as if they would be heading in at the break with a two-goal advantage when Zebedee Lawson curled in a terrific strike from the edge of the box, but the Gunners halved the deficit a minute later through Brando Bailey-Joseph.
Any momentum Arsenal might have gained from their goal was shortlived, with Lawson teeing up Younes Ibrahim, who found the bottom right corner from eight yards two minutes after the restart.
Alex Marciniak made it 3-2 with a smart finish with just under ten minutes to play, but Albion withstood late pressure to round off their February fixtures with three points.
Under-18s head coach Arthur Brammer said, "I am proud of the boys. We had some good moments and deserved our lead – we played some really good football.
“We started the second half brightly, scored an early goal and then did the other side of the game really well to see out the win.
"We were compact, disciplined and controlled the game without the ball.”
