Carlos Baleba has won the Premier League Goal of the Month for April.
The Cameroonian curled in a wonderful strike in the last minute in our 3-2 win over West Ham, finding the back of the net from 30 yards. That was the midfielder’s third Premier League goal of the season.
Baleba beat his own teammate Yasin Ayari to the award, who also netted against West Ham, as well as Anthony Elanga (Forest v Manchester United), Alexis Mac Allister (Fulham v Liverpool), Ollie Watkins (Southampton v Aston Villa), Jadon Sancho (Chelsea v Ipswich Town), Pablo Sarabia (Manchester United v Wolves) and Jean-Phillippe Mateta (Arsenal v Crystal Palace).
It’s the 21-year-old’s second award of the week, having been named our Young Player of the Season at our Players’ Awards on Wednesday night.
