Friday marked the end of Albion’s busiest transfer window in six years, as they welcomed nine new signings to the club.
The last window to surpass that figure was in 2018, when we signed ten players, including the likes of Florin Andone, Leon Balogun and Alireza Jahanbakhsh.
Here’s a round-up of the business the club has completed during this summer window for the men's teams.
Transfers in
Ibrahim Osman – Nordsjaelland
The Ghana international arrival was confirmed earlier in the year, when he joined us on a five-year deal from Danish side FC Nordsjaellend. After spending a majority of pre-season with Fabian Hurzeler’s squad, he joined Feyenoord on loan in August.
Yankuba Minteh – Newcastle United
Having only moved to Europe two years ago, Yankuba Minteh continued his meteoric rise when he joined Albion on a five-year deal in July. The 19-year-old spent last season on loan with Feyenoord, where he scored ten goals and assisted six in 27 league appearances. He signed for us from Newcastle on a five-year contract.
Mats Wieffer – Feyenoord
Midfielder Mats Wieffer, 24, joined us after two years with Feyenoord, signing a five-year deal at the Amex. The Netherlands international made 79 appearances for the Dutch club under the current Liverpool boss Arne Slot.
Amario Cozier-Duberry – Arsenal
An impressive youth prospect, Amario Cozier-Duberry joined us on a four-year deal following his departure from Arsenal. He scored 13 goals and contributed five assists in 24 appearances for the Gunners’ under-21s last season. He joined Blackburn Rovers on loan on deadline day.
Malick Yalcouye – IFK Goteborg
Midfielder Malick Yalcouye joined us from Swedish side IFK Goteborg on a five-year contract. The 18-year-old joined Goteborg last year after graduating through the academy at Ivorian club ASEC Mimosas, where he made his professional debut in the African Champions League.
Brajan Gruda – Mainz 05
Germany youth international Brajan Gruda’s breakthrough season with Mainz caught the attention of Albion, who signed him on a four-year contract. The 20-year-old played 28 games in the Bundesliga and contributed four goals and three assists to help them avoid relegation.
Georginio Rutter – Leeds United
The Frenchman was a mainstay in Daniel Farke’s team during the 2023/24 campaign, making 51 appearances in all competitions, scoring eight goals and notching 16 assists. He joined us on a five-year contract in August.
Matt O’Riley – Celtic
Midfielder Matt O’Riley joined Albion after making more than 100 appearances for Celtic. He swept the board at the club’s awards in 2023/24, also winning Players’ Player and Young Player of the Season, as well as being nominated in the PFA’s Scottish Premiership team of the season. Having signed a five-year contract here, the 23-year-old will require ankle surgery after an incident less than ten minutes into his debut in the 4-0 win over Crawley Town.
Ferdi Kadioglu – Fenerbahce
Albion confirmed the signing of Ferdi Kadioglu just in time for him to be introduced on the Amex pitch ahead of our win over Crawley Town on Tuesday. Joining us on a four-year deal, the defender arrived after six seasons in the Super Lig with Fenerbahce, for whom he played more than 200 games and scoring 18 goals. In 2023 he won the Turkish Cup.
Mahmoud Dahoud (Eintracht Frankfurt)
Mahmoud Dahoud is returning to Germany after joining Eintracht Frankfurt.
The midfielded returned to Germany a year after joining Albion from Borussia Dortmund. He made 14 Albion appearances and spent the second half of last season on loan at Stuttgart.

Kacper Kozlowski – Gaziantep (Turkish first division)
The Polan international departed for the Super Lig having spent the last two seasons out on loan with Vitesse Arnhem.
Marc Leonard – Birmingham City (League One)
An academy graduate, Marc Leonard made two first team appearances for us, with both of those coming in the EFL Cup.
Pascal Gross – Borussia Dortmund (Bundesliga)
An Albion legend, Pascal departed after seven years in which time he made 261 appearances in all competitions, scoring 32 goals and contributing 52 assists.
Deniz Undav – VFB Stuttgart
Having enjoyed a hugely successful season with Stuttgart on loan last season, the striker made the move permanent. He scored eight goals in 30 appearances in all competitions for Albion.
Jensen Weir – Wigan Athletic
Academy graduate Jensen Weir made his first team debut for Albion in the 4-0 win over Crawley Town on Tuesday, before joining former club Wigan.
Billy Gilmour - Napoli
A popular member of the Albion dressing room, Billy Gilmour left Albion on deadline day for Napoli. The Scotland international spent two years with us, making 60 appearances.
