There was more positive news on home soil, as Hannah Poulter kept a cleansheet for Portsmouth Women, as they moved six points clear of danger in the Women's Championship, ensuring they retain their second-tier status.

Birmingham City broke the record points tally in League One as they beat Mansfield Town 4-0 – Caylan Vickers played the full game for the Stags, while in Scotland, Ben Jackson played 90 minutes as Queens Park drew 2-2 with Ayr United.
In the Premier League, Facundo Buonanotte played 45 minutes as Leicester City lost 3-0 to Wolves, while Ipswich Town were defeated by the same scoreline at Newcastle United – Julio Enciso played 70 minutes for the Tractor Boys.
