Albion's January fixtures preview

With 2025 just around the corner, our Global Betting Partners, Betway, have looked ahead to our upcoming fixtures in January.
Brighton v Arsenal (17:30, Saturday 4 January)
The new year kicks off with a home game against Arsenal - a club we have had plenty of success against in recent years.
August's reverse fixture at Emirates Stadium ended 1-1, but we dominated possession and could well have taken all three points. Joao Pedro scored our equaliser in the second half after Kai Havertz opened the scoring.
In May 2023, we secured a memorable 3-0 win away from home against Arsenal thanks to goals from Julio Enciso, Deniz Undav and Pervis Estupinan, and we also knocked them out of the EFL Cup in the same season with a 3-1 victory in the third round.
We have won three, lost three and drawn two of our eight matches against Arsenal since 2021, which suggests we'll be in with a chance of securing a positive result here.
Norwich City v Brighton (15:00, Saturday 1 January)
Our FA Cup campaign begins in January with this third-round tie against Norwich City.
At the same stage of last season's competition we enjoyed a 4-2 win over Stoke City, and we'll be looking for another fast start against a Championship club on this occasion.
We faced Norwich four times during their two recent spells in the Premier League, beating them twice along with two draws.
Our last two meetings with the Canaries ended 0-0, but this FA Cup clash should see some goals given that they are among the Championship's highest scorers and leakiest defences, with 41 goals scored and 36 conceded in 25 games so far.
Ipswich Town v Brighton (19:30, Thursday 16 January)
Norwich's local rivals are up next as we travel to Portman Road to take on newly promoted Ipswich Town.
Our only previous meeting with Ipswich in the top flight came at the Amex in September, when we drew 0-0. We had 68 per cent of the possession and 11 shots to our opponents' five, but couldn't find the breakthrough to take the three points.
Having drawn all three of our matches against promoted sides in the Premier League this season, Fabian Hurzeler will be hopeful of securing our first win against such opposition here.
Manchester United v Brighton (14:00, Sunday 19 January)
We travel to Old Trafford later in the month, a stadium where we've emerged victorious in each of the past two seasons.
We beat Manchester United 2-1 away from home in August 2022 thanks to a Pascal Gross brace, and followed that up with a 3-1 win in September 2023, with Danny Welbeck, Joao Pedro and Gross again getting on the scoresheet.
Our record against Man Utd over the past few years is stellar. We've won five of our last six Premier League meetings against the Red Devils, including a 2-1 victory earlier this season.
Joao Pedro was the hero on that day, netting a 90-minute winner to bring home the three points.
Brighton v Everton (15:00, Saturday 25 January)
Our final match of the month sees us back at home to face Everton, who we beat convincingly at Goodison Park back in August.
Kaoru Mitoma, Danny Welbeck and Simon Adingra scored the goals in a 3-0 win, with Ashley Young sent off for our opponents in the second half.
Both games against Everton last season ended 1-1 and the Toffees ultimately placed 15th in the Premier League table. We have finished above them in each of the past three seasons.
Albion will be trying to complete the double over Sean Dyche's men after beating Everton on the opening day of the season.
