Fabian Hurzeler has said Solly March still has a little while to go before he is ready for first-team football.
The 30-year-old suffered a serious knee injury against Manchester City last October and recently made a brief return to action, when he played in the opening 25 minutes of our under-21s’ 10-0 win over Crystal Palace.
“After a long injury he is not on the physical level like the players now who are playing every game,” Fabian explained. “But he is working hard, working physically in the gym very hard and outside the pitch very hard to get there.
“We have to be patient with him, it was a long injury and you have to go there step by step to get the comeback, but I am sure he will get his comeback this season. I can’t say a clear schedule when we plan this comeback on the pitch.

“But he had now some minutes for the under-21s. He had a small issue now with a muscle but nothing big. Now he will be back in the team training and then we are trying to get him closer and closer to the team.
Then I am sure he will be soon back on the pitch in the Premier League.”
Lewis Dunk is the most recent addition to the injury list having pulled out of Saturday’s game against Wolves during the warm-up.
Hurzeler confirmed in his press conference on Tuesday that the skipper has suffered a small muscle injury, but was impressed with the way Igor Julio filled the skipper’s boots during the 2-2 draw on Saturday.

“Lewis knows what he has to do to win Premier League games, especially against big opponents.
“But on the other side, I think Igor who replaced him at the weekend also made a great impact. He had a great game.
“So I'm really happy that we have such defenders. If Lewis misses the games, it would be not easy for us to replace him because he's our captain and he's our leader on the pitch.”
