Leading ice hockey player Aleksander Barkov was the latest guest on the official Brighton & Hove Albion Podcast.
The Finn is captain of the Florida Panthers, who won the Stanley Cup for the first time in their history this year – a trophy awarded to the National Hockey League play-off champions.
“This summer has been very weird for me because I always go back to Finland to work on something, to become better and to be a Stanley Cup champion at some point," he said.
“And now we finally achieved our dream, the goal of our lifetime. Now sometimes it feels like 'okay, what should I do now?’
“But for sure it's been the best summer that I've had, just enjoying every single day, waking up and thinking about that I literally achieved the goal of my lifetime.”
Aleksander Barkov was a guest at the Manchester United game last month and in the podcast reveals his Albion link.
