2025 UN World Football Day
On the United Nations' (UN) World Football Day, we were delighted to be asked to be involved as one of UNICEF’s football partners.
Chief executive & deputy chairman Paul Barber OBE was invited to the UN and UNICEF headquarters in New York to speak about the incredible power of football, and how BHAFC are developing programmes with UNICEF to uphold children’s rights, wellbeing and development in football.
Paul Barber OBE joined by other UNICEF football partners such as Inter Miami CF, Wrexham AFC and Al Ahly SC to discuss how we are making a difference in this space.

Over 300 invited guests attended and the event was broadcast to the global UNICEF network.
We support UNICEF's work to help deliver vital aid and resources, wherever and whenever the need is greatest.
This includes providing rapid response in emergency situations, as well as delivering impactful and sustainable programmes with local teams to build a world where every child is happy, healthy and safe.
In support of this, we are auctioning signed UNICEF warm-up shirts from our men’s first team fixture against Aston Villa, which features the BHAFC crest and iconic UNICEF logo, while the back has UNICEF’s powerful slogan ‘For Every Child’ repeated in eight different languages.
