Albion have every incentive to end their Premier League 2 calendar year on a high against Tottenham Hotspur at the American Express Elite Football Performance Centre today (2pm).
Victory would lift Albion above Fulham and into second place in what is their last PL2 game before they head to leaders Manchester City on 12 January.
Head coach Shannon Ruth said, “We are looking forward to it, it’s an opportunity to go second which is a position we’re aspiring to.
“We have got a really competitive group who want to do well and improve. We want our league position to be a true representation of the work we have put in until now.
“Our last PL2 game against Arsenal (which finished 1-1) was a really good advert for PL2 and was probably the best fixture we’ve played in so far this season. We’ve got today and then Sporting Lisbon next Sunday we are looking to finish the year strongly.”
