Danny Welbeck believes the defeat to Tottenham highlighted the areas where Albion need to improve.
The striker put the 2-1 loss â in which Brennan Johnson netted the winner in the sixth minute of stoppage time â down to Albion losing focus in important moments.
"Itâs difficult to take, everyone put a shift in," Danny said. "There were some small details that we didnât get right and it cost us.
The striker was fouled for Albion's penalty at Tottenham.
âIn football youâve got to stay switched on in all moments, making sure we defend right because that can make the difference in the Premier League. Every single second counts.
âThere were a couple of moments where if we had played more cohesively as a team we could have maybe had a square pass and a tap in â a couple of wrong decisions at the time. Itâs football, it happens and we want to put that right in the next game.â
The 33-year-old has been with Albion for three-and-a-half years and has been pleased with the progress the club have made in that time. But he doesnât see that as an excuse to let up.
âIt has been good, but there is a lot of room from improvement. Even though weâve had some wonderful seasons we always want to get better. Thatâs down to the group, environment and culture.
âEveryone in this squad wants to improve every single day. The manager doesnât let anyone rest on their laurels. Thatâs the right mindset to have.â
