Danny Welbeck is confident Albion will soon be used to Roberto De Zerbiâs philosophy and the way he wants to play. De Zerbiâs first Amex game ended in a narrow 1-0 defeat against third-placed Spurs after his reign started with a 3-3 draw against Liverpool.
Welbeck said, âItâs difficult when there is a change of coach but the coaching staff have got their ideas and philosophy over to us.
âWeâve had to take a lot of information in, but weâve got a great squad here and everyone is willing to learn, improve and adapt.â
The striker felt there was little to choose between the teams on Saturday with Harry Kaneâs 22nd minute goal decisive.
âI thought it was a close game but overall after the first 20 minutes we were the better side,â said Welbeck. âPerhaps we could have created a couple more clearer chances but I thought we played well, although there is obviously room for improvement.
âSpurs set up a bit differently and we had to adapt during the game. They have got some world-class players who can hurt you at any moment and thatâs what happened. Weâve got to keep our heads and prepare well for the Brentford game.â
