Adam Webster has revealed that Albion are being complemented on their style of play from opponents during games.
The defender played a crucial role in Thursdayâs 1-0 win over Manchester United which lifted us into sixth place ahead of Mondayâs Amex date with Everton.
During a break in play United striker Anthony Martial praised Albionâs performance when he spoke to Webster and he isnât the only opponent to do so in recent weeks.
"Every team we play against always praise us on the pitch if there is a stoppage in the game," said Webster.
âMartial was saying to me how well we were playing and [Raheem] Sterling and [Conor] Gallagher said the same at Chelsea a couple of weeks ago. I think we were 1-0 down or 1-1 at the time and he (Sterling) was saying we should be 5-1 up.
âWhen it comes from players like that it shows the work we are doing, the way the manager has got us playing is amazing.â
Praise from opponents is nice but Webster says Albion wonât be distracted from the job of qualifying for Europe for the first time in our history in the remaining six games.
âThursday was huge to get back-to-back wins, which we havenât done that for a while in the league," he added.Â
âIt is so important to do that because you can really kick on but to be honest as soon as Thursday was over the focus was already on Monday. As much as United was an amazing win and we wanted to enjoy it we canât really because we have got another game. Everton are fighting for their lives, and it wonât be easy at all.
âBut we just want to play our game. The way the manager sets us up it is all about us and what we can do to hurt the opposition, itâs a joy to be part of. There are going to be times when we might make a mistake but we fully believe in what we do because we work on it tirelessly day in and day out. When it comes to the game we know exactly we are doing. Everyone buys into it because we all want to do well for the team.â
