Joao Pedro has scored 19 goals in all competitions for Albion so far this campaign.

Albion face Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday knowing a win could move them up into fourth spot in the Premier League.

Our match at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium kicks off at 3pm.

Spurs will be just eager to secure a victory, knowing they could go above Aston Villa into fourth.

Kaoru Mitoma is available to face Tottenham this weekend.

In Roberto De Zerbi's absence, first team coach Andrea Maldera took Friday's press conference. He discussed the availability of Joao Pedro and Kaoru Mitoma.

"Joao Pedro unfortunately has an injury in the hamstring and he cannot play tomorrow," Andrea explained. "He had a scan a few days ago and he needs another one. We don’t know how many weeks away he will be out for, we don’t want to take a risk.

"Kaoru is available, sure. But Roberto hasn’t decided [if he should start], he has asked us how he is. Kaoru has worked well but he has travelled a lot this week. I think we make the decision tonight or tomorrow morning. He is in the squad for sure, but we don’t if he can start, we are not sure. But he is with us and is an important player."

Albion enjoyed one of their finest performances of the campaign when they last played Spurs. Ange Postecoglou’s team visited us for our final match of 2023, which saw us lead 4-0 after 80 minutes at the Amex, before a late rally from Spurs saw them snatch two goals.

Son Heung-min joined Tottenham in 2015.

Son Heung-min’s return from the Asian Cup is a welcome one for Tottenham, who have won just one of their three Premier League matches without their South Korean captain. The 31-year-old has scored 12 goals in 20 Premier League matches this season, while he has 157 goals in 393 appearances in total for Spurs.

Tottenham have won six of their last seven home league games against Brighton, with the exception being a 1-0 loss in April 2022.

Following their 4-2 win at the Amex Stadium in December, Brighton are looking to win back-to-back league meetings with Spurs for the very first time.

After a run of four defeats in five Premier League games from the start of November (D1), Tottenham have now lost just one of their last eight (W5 D2). That loss did come in the reverse fixture against Brighton, however.

Having won their first two Premier League away games this season, Brighton have since won just one of their last nine on the road (D3 L5), conceding 21 goals across these nine matches.
