If you purchased this season’s souvenir edition Europa League home programmes, you would have noticed each one included a fantastic A3-sized specially commissioned poster from Brighton-based illustrator Jamie Eke.
The posters featured Lewis Dunk, Kaoru Mitoma, Pascal Gross and Joao Pedro, and each proved to be a huge hit, with Jamie and the club receiving plenty of positive feedback.
We also received a number of requests for the posters to be sold separately – and we are delighted to confirm that a limited number of each are now on sale in the club store, priced £4 each.
“I had the idea of doing a series of alternate Albion programme covers made to look like vintage comic books,” Jamie told the Albion matchday programme. “It felt like a fun link, given they’re usually depicting exaggerated scenes of battle with lots of energy and colour, and before I knew it the club had commissioned me to illustrate these Europa League posters – a massive privilege.
“I never imagined we’d receive so much positive feedback – every time a new poster was released, I ended up losing track of the comments and messages received. As a lifelong fan, it’s a real honour to be creating such fun work for the club in this momentous season, and seeing how many people have been enjoying the posters along the way.”
*Please note, the posters are on sale in the club store only and not online.
