Charlie Rule admits she is 'humbled' being part of the new-look Albion squad.
The Australian full-back made her first start in the Conti Cup win at Birmingham City Women.
And she marked it with the opening goal, getting in amongst a crowd of bodies at a corner to head home.
"It was a tough game," Rule reflected. "The squad came in and did a good job. We had a bit of a new squad, but it was good to get the win - a big win as well, 3-0 is always good.
"A first start is definitely rewarding. I feel very humble playing alongside these players. It's a big opportunity and, starting, I feel very grateful for it.
Charlie Rule gave us an early lead at Birmingham.
"The goal was a tight one. I will claim it. It was a great ball in by Maisie (Symonds), it was in the mix.
"It's a great squad we have got here," Rule added. "It's very competitive. Anyone who comes in can do their job and do it well. It showed on the field."
The result and display at St Andrew's was the perfect pick-me-up after the disappointment of Albion's WSL defeat by West Ham.
And it puts Albion in a good place ahead of Sunday's league fixture against Tottenham Hotspur Women at the Amex (4pm).
"West Ham was a tough match, Rule continued. "But it was a great reaction by the girls and it gives us lot of momentum going into the next game.
"Sunday, it will be amazing. I haven't even seen the Amex or played on it yet. It will be awesome and great to see all the fans there."
