Our WU19s plays at the highest level of the Women's & Girls' academy system with the purpose of developing players capable of contributing to our women’s first team vision of being a top four WSL club.
This season we’ve had three professional debuts from 17-year-olds in league and cup competitions with numerous academy players training regularly with and alongside the first team.
Now we’re looking for new and exciting talent join our WU19 squad for next season. Applicants should currently be in Year 11 at school and U16s at their club with recent playing experience at:
Another Professional Game Academy (PGA) programme
Emerging Talent Centres (ETC)
Club pathway of another professional club.
We are unable to respond to any applications from players who have been offered a retention to their current PGA registration by their current club.
Our WU19 players train throughout the week at our state-of-the-art training complex in Lancing and play matches on Wednesdays and/or Sundays. Players will experience quality technical coaching, strength and conditioning programmes, physiotherapy, life-skills programmes and wellbeing care, alongside support around their education.
Our AcademyOur girls’ academy is a football academy for women & girls aged between 11 and 19. We are a Category One Pro-Game Academy which is the highest grading possible within The FA’s rules. The girls’ academy is based in a brand-new facility at the American Express Elite Football Performance Centre in Lancing, West Sussex. The facilities include high-quality pitches, a gym, medical centre, purpose built changing areas for the WU19s and recovery facility.

**Your Application**Please read through the following information see whether our Academy in Brighton is right for you. Applicants must:
Currently be in Year 11 at school and been born between 01/09/2007 – 31/08/2008.
Have recent playing experience at PGA / ETC / professional club pathway level.
Have an English parent or grandparent or have been educated in England for at least five consecutive years.
International or regional experience is desirable.
Successful applicants will be invited to at least one trial session and club presentation between Thursday 21 March 2024 – Sunday 24 March 2024.
