We sat down with our new signing Marisa Olislagers as she settles into life with Albion.
Marisa, welcome to Brighton and Hove Albion. How does it feel to join the club?
“I’m just really excited and looking forward to getting started next season. Now that I’m here I’m even more eager to get going and meet the girls.”
What was it that attracted you to the club?
“I like the way Brighton plays their football, it’s really attractive. But also the way they treat people, they look at you not just as a player but as a person. I like the whole vision of the club.
Marisa Olislagers has joined Albion from Dutch club FC Twente.
“I really want to play at the highest level of football and I think England and the WSL are at that level. I wanted to play in this league and this club fits me very well.”
How would you describe your style of play?
“I am a defender who likes to attack as well as defend, I like a lot of overlapping and underlapping. I like to have the ball and play a positional game, that’s my style. I also want to win every match, but the processes are also very important to me.”
How much are you looking forward to moving into the area?
“I want to make this my home. If I feel good off the pitch, then I will perform better on it.”
