We are excited to introduce ‘MyAlbion Internship’ - a new and immersive internship programme launching for the 2024/25 season.
This internship is an opportunity not to be missed and is your chance to work behind the scenes in a Premier League football club. The internship will involve a departmental rotation of both on-pitch and off-pitch operations over a two-year fixed-term contract starting from September 2024.  There will be two roles available for this year’s intake.
This internship programme is aimed at individuals who have just finished college and who do not wish to go to university. You will be based in the Sussex area within a commutable distance of both the American Express Stadium, Brighton and our training ground, the American Express Elite Football Performance Centre, Lancing.
There is no previous work experience required, but there is one very important condition: you must fully immerse yourself into the internship, be willing to step outside your comfort zone and learn from our fantastic people inside the football club.  Not only will you learn about the inner workings of a football club, but you will learn about yourself and build skills to last a lifetime. We are looking for individuals who will embody our TEAAM Brighton values (Treat people well, exceed expectations, aim high never give up, act with integrity, make it special) and fully embed themselves into our culture.
Given that this is an exceptional opportunity our recruitment and selection process may look slightly different to that of other roles, but we are confident that you will be able to rise to the challenge! If selected for an interview, you will be invited to an open day at the American Express Stadium, Brighton, which will include a presentation on the internship by us, some fun tasks and an opportunity for us to find out more about one another!
The fundamentals:
The rotational placements
During your two years at the club the departmental rotations will give you the opportunity to understand every aspect of an elite high-performance environment.  You will learn about our loyal fans, understand what happens on the pitch and the operational/business aspects of running a football club. The mandatory rotational departments will include:
  • Coaching
  • Grounds maintenance/pitch care
  • Supporter services & retail
  • A fourth rotation depending on individual strengths and interests to include either commercial, media, marketing or operations.
Alongside these rotations, you will have the opportunity to undertake qualifications and you will be assigned a mentor from our senior management team to provide support along your journey.
Please don’t worry, you don’t need to be an expert in any of the above areas or currently have a huge desire to excel in one particular department. The objective of this internship is to learn about yourself, what you do and don’t like and to gain invaluable skills in the footballing environment.
