The 20-year-old came on during Tuesday’s 1-1 draw against Norway to become the first Albion player to play for the Lionesses while at the club. The winger was warmly welcomed back by her team-mates when Albion returned to training ahead of Sunday’s WSL match against Liverpool.

Acting head coach Amy Merricks said, “The team are buzzing for her and we’re all really pleased for Robbo. She has now got an understanding of what is required at that level. That will really help her, and now she is really excited to get her head down and focus on the next few club games before the next international break.

“Making you debut for your country is huge, isn’t it? She has stayed grounded, but as a club we’re really proud. She’s been with us for a while now, she’s bounced back from an ACL injury, took her opportunity in a loan spell at Charlton Athletic last season and she’s really kicked on, so that’s credit to her.”

Albion take on the Reds at Broadfield Stadium looking to build on a 5-4 win against West Ham United three weeks ago when Merricks took charge for the first time following Hope Powell’s resignation.

“We were all proud in terms of the way they performed and applied themselves,” she added. “They played with some real intent and there are some positive foundations to build on but there were also moments we need to learn from in terms of how to manage the game better.”
