Yasin Ayari made his first start for Coventry in their 1-1 draw with Hull City, when former Albion man Aaron Connolly got a late equaliser for the Tigers. 
Andrew Moran came on for the final 30 minutes of Blackburn’s 2-1 win over Middlesbrough, while Jeremy Sarmiento played the final ten minutes of West Brom’s 0-0 draw with Bristol City.
Swansea’s tricky start to the season continued with a 2-0 defeat in the South Wales derby to Cardiff City, with Carl Rushworth starting in goal for the Swans.
In League One, James Beadle kept his second clean sheet of his loan spell with Oxford United as they cruised to a 3-0 win at Fleetwood Town.
Jensen Weir played the first hour for Blackpool in their 2-0 defeat to Wycombe, while Cam Peupion was a late substitute in Cheltenham’s 1-0 loss to Exeter City.
Marc Leonard completed his seventh consecutive 90 minutes for Northampton Town, although they suffered a 1-0 defeat to high-flying Port Vale. Ed Turns was an unused substitute in Leyton Orient’s 1-1 draw with Peterborough.

Deniz Undav made his first appearance of the season for Stuttgart, coming on with four minutes of normal time to play against Mainz. He still found time though to set up Serhou Guirassy in the 97th minute to seal a 3-1 victory.
It was a mixed return for Steven Alzate to Standard Liege. The midfielder made his first start as Liege beat KAS Eupen 3-1, but the Colombia international was shown a second yellow card in the 13th minute of second-half stoppage time.
Abdallah Sima came on in the first half of Rangers 2-0 victory over St Johnstone in the Scottish Premiership, while in Austria Kjell Scherpen conceded just his third and fourth goal of the campaign in Sturm Graz’s 2-2 draw with league leaders RB Salzburg.
Kacper Kozlowski was a late substitute in Vitesse Arnhem’s 2-0 home defeat to bottom of the league RKC Waalwijk.
Non-League
Worthing are through to the third qualifying round of the Emirates FA Cup thanks to former Albion striker Jake Robinson’s goal in their 1-0 win over Eastbourne Borough, with Bailey Smith coming on for the final 25 minutes.
