Abdallah Sima was one of the few positives for Angers during the 2022/23 season.
The winger finished as the French side's top scorer with five goals but he was unable to prevent them being relegated from Ligue 1 as they finished bottom of the table.
The Senegal international, who has had three different managers this season, had an injury-ravaged loan spell at Stoke City in 2021/22, so 36 games this time out will have done him no harm at all.
Tom Wiseman, of Get French Football News, said, "It has been a nightmare season for Angers but Sima had a better end to the campaign.
"He is always determined to chase down balls, he scored a brilliant goal against Marseille, and when he does get chances he is a good finisher.
“When he played for Slavia Prague, he was excellent on the right wing. He is someone who can interlink in the wide areas but he can also play as a supporting striker.
"He has the ability to go past players. He had that huge injury last season so it was good he could play regularly.”
