Joao Pedro arrives at The Amex after three-and-a-half years with Watford.

Pervis Estupinan is looking forward to being reunited with his former teammate Joao Pedro.

The two played together at Watford, before Pervis joined Villarreal, where he went on to win the Europa League in 2021.

Joao arrives having finished the 2022/23 campaign as Watford’s top scorer, netting 11 Championship goals, with Estupinan looking forward to seeing what impact he can have in the Premier League with us.

“I spoke to him when I heard that he had signed for the club and I said ‘my friend we are going to be teammates again,’” Pervis said. “He was really happy - he can’t wait to start training here and playing for us, he has seen us play and seen how well the team has been playing.

Pervis Estupinan made 41 appearances in all competitions for Albion during the 2022/23 season.

“I told him that he will be happy here because there are great people in the dressing room and it’s a relaxed atmosphere. I’m thrilled that he’s going to be here soon.”

Pervis was also quizzed by his Albion teammates about our new signing.

“When I heard Joao’s name I spoke to some teammates here as I knew him from our time at watford together.

“I told them that he’s a very good player, he has great technique, a quality player. I hope that he’ll be able to help the team.”
