Defender Guro Bergsvand felt Albion didn’t get what they deserved as they went out of the Conti Cup.
Albion drew 1-1 with Aston Villa on Wednesday in the quarter-final but it was the visitors who went through 2-0 on penalties.
But Bergsvand believes there were lots of positives to build on ahead of another knockout game on Sunday when Albion head to Wolves in the fifth round of the Adobe FA Cup.
“I think ‘gutted’ is the best way to describe the result,” said Bergsvand. "I think the girls gave absolutely everything and they didn't get what they deserved.

“I thought particularly in the first half we were we were absolutely outstanding with and without the ball. The effort and the energy that the girls put in - I couldn't ask for any more from them.
“We’re trying to implement the strategies and the philosophy that we're working on and we just we needed to be better in the final third.
“We had to defend our box and we did it really well, it was just on one occasion we were punished and that's what happens at this level.
“But we're evolving as a group, and we've just got to keep going and working hard, stick together. We’ll review the game and look forward to Sunday.”
